Read the visual description
The image shows an engraved portrait of a person from the waist up. The individual faces forward with a direct gaze. Their facial features include arched eyebrows, wide eyes, a long nose, and slightly pursed lips. They have an elaborate updo with decorations, a large lace collar, a dress with puffed sleeves, and a necklace with a pendant. The oval frame surrounding the figure has an inscription. The background is a plain surface with some visible marks.

A small subset of this collection—including this print—was sent at an unknown date to the NGA, where it was not immediately accessioned. When NGA registrars came upon this group in 1964, they and Rosenwald erroneously believed that the works had accidentally been omitted from the donor’s 1943 gift to the museum.
