[1903-1965] and Helen G. Christie, New York; gift 27 April 1959 to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington; acquired 2015 by the National Gallery of Art. [1] The early provenance is according to information about the painting in the Frick Art Reference Library, New York, recorded in NGA curatorial files.
