The image shows a woman's upper body in a three-quarter view. She is slightly angled to her right, with closed eyes, a prominent nose, and a slightly downturned mouth. Her long, wavy hair cascades down her shoulders from beneath an intricately detailed headdress. She wears a fitted bodice with ties down the front and a cloak over her shoulders. Her hands are crossed at the wrist in front of her. The background is plain.

The image shows a person seated on a square pedestal, holding an open book up to their face with one hand. The person is sideways with one knee bent and the other leg dangling. Their head is covered with a cloth, and their facial features are obscured. The clothing is long and flowing, covering the body completely. Another figure is crouched nearby, partly obscured.
